I earned my Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from National University in Stockton, California in 2004. In 1999 I received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology and Addiction Studies from Seattle University in Seattle, Washington. I became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California in 2006. In 2007, I relocated to Philadelphia and transferred my license to Pennsylvania State.
I have experience providing assessment, treatment and consultation with children, adolescents, families and adults. I provide psychotherapy with families, couples, children of divorce, and children with school and behavior problems and blended families. My clinical practice also includes adults who have personal or relationship problems. I’ve also worked with people experiencing issues related to their sexual orientation.
Since 1999, I have worked as a registered Chemical Dependency Professional for several drug and alcohol treatment programs in Washington and California. I also treat individuals who are dealing with chemical dependency, and those struggling with dual diagnosis issues. I also have experience in the evaluation and treatment of sex offenders, abuse reactive children, and survivors of sexual abuse. I have extensive experience and a special interest in working with children and adolescents. I currently work as a Child psychotherapist and supervisor, in a school-based behavioral health program in Philadelphia.
I began working in private practice for Pacific Counseling Associates of Stockton, California, which was established in 2005. I have worked in private practice in Pennsylvania since 2007. I employ a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy model of treatment and counseling and am also available as a consultant to organizations. I have experience working with individuals who have difficulty managing their emotional reactions, problems with interpersonal relationships and self-injurious behavior. I also enjoy working with families and helping them negotiate difficult times inherent in the family life cycle.
