PRACTICE INTERESTS:
I am a general adult psychiatrist. I practice both psychotherapy as well as psychopharmacology. I mainly use therapy techniques from Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, and Supportive approaches. My special interests include the treatment of severe anxiety disorders, and treatment-resistant depression. I am also interested in treating mood and anxiety disorders in older adults. A further area of interest is in the treatment of performance anxiety in performing artists. TRAINING AND CREDENTIALS:I obtained my Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. My Osteopathic internship was through Crozer Chester Medical Center. I completed my residency in psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, where I initiated a clinical research project into the psychotic features of anxiety disorders. I additionally have previously done extensive training in classical music performance in the Los Angeles area. I am currently a performing member of the Philadelphia Doctor's Chamber Orchestra. |
